Lagos Country Club celebrates 76th anniversary with weekend-long events

The Lagos Country Club Ikeja has planned a weekend-long range of activities to celebrates its 76th anniversary.

Founded on August 3, 1949, it has evolved to become a premium family and sports club that has warmed itself into the hearts of Nigeria’s elite.

According to a statement from the club, the line-up of activities to mark the 76th anniversary will kick off with Jumaat prayers at the Alausa Mosque on Friday, August 1, 2025. Later on Friday by 6pm, there would be an Aerobics session at the basket ball court within the club presmises and much later, a Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) party at the main bar.

On the morning of Saturday, August 2, members would embark on a 8Km Health,Unity Walk from the Club premises to Maryland Roundabout and back. By evening, members would be hosted to a comedy session.

On Sunday, August 3, a Thanksgiving Service is scheduled to hold at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church in GRA Ikeja. And later in the evening, it hosts members to a gala night.
