- The Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (ROF) was founded by an Anglican clergyman and scholar, Reverend Thomas Adesina Jacobson Ogunbiyi (T.A.J. Ogunbiyi) on December 18, 1914 in Obun-Eko, Lagos, Nigeria. It was originally called Ogboni Onigbagbo, which means ‘Ogboni Fraternity of the Christians’. The name was changed to ROF to accommodate people from different religions, races, and political affiliations.
